In a streamlined process that takes minutes, an artist specifies an existing song or image file, provides basic information to identify it and MyxerTones™ creates a MyxerTag™ they can easily add to their MySpace profile, website, or blog. The artist never has to worry about device or carrier specific issues such as file format support, delivery mechanisms, or billing. Simply by creating a MyxerTag™ for their content in its existing format they can deliver and sell (or give away as a promotional tool) their ringtones or wallpapers to the mobile market.

Creating a MyxerTag™

The artist simply chooses one of the options offered: select the song from your PC, or supply the URL if the song is hosted on a web server, or supply the URL where the song is on MySpace, then click "Continue":

Once the artist has chosen their song they have the option to name the song, add a description, a price (or give it away for free), duration (up to 60 seconds), and select an image for the ringtone. Then they click the "Finish" button:

To create a MyxerTag™ to place on the artist's web site, blog or MySpace profile, so that people can send the ringtone (or wallpaper) to their cell phone, the artist simply clicks the "details" link to bring up the "Add a MyxerTag™ to their Web Page" section:

...and places the code that appears next to "HTML" on their website, blog or MySpace profile.

MyxerTags™ also supplies a MyxerCode™ that lets the artist promote the ringtone (or wallpaper) directly to their fans by allowing them to text message the code to "MYXER" (69937). With MyxerCodes™, the artist's fans can have instant access to the content at shows, or through advertising, posters, flyers or web sites directly from their mobile phones.

By clicking on the "Activity" link, artists can track how many ringtones have been downloaded and their earnings.

The same steps can be followed to create a wallpaper MyxerTag™ to place on the artist’s web site, blog or MySpace profile, but instead of picking a starting and end point, the artist can crop and rotate the image.
