MyxerTones™ 2.0 Launches Simplest Way for Independent Musicians to Share and Sell Ringtones
(DEERFIELD BEACH, FL) - mVisible™ Technologies, Inc. today announced that it has launched
version 2.0 of MyxerTones™ (www.myxertones.com),
a web-based platform from which user-generated content (music, pictures, etc.) is delivered to mobile devices.
MyxerTones 2.0 contains an enhanced version of MyxerTags™ (www.myxertags.com),
the revolutionary technology that enables independent musicians to share and sell ringtones and wallpaper directly
from their own websites or MySpace pages. Using version 2.0, artists can more easily manage the content they make
available, whether they are giving away promotional ringtones or selling them for a fee that they choose. The upgraded
interface provides musicians a central page to view, edit and track the number of downloads each of their ringtones has
received. More than 5,000 artists have created ringtones using MyxerTags since the service launched in the
spring. When artists decide to sell a song rather than making it free to their fans, MyxerTones 2.0 now
offers a wider range of billing services to purchase ringtones including new premium SMS billing.
MyxerTones 2.0 also offers more opportunities for music fans to interact with each other and discover new
ringtones. Fans can browse MyxerTones’ catalog of more than 15,000 ringtones. They can also rate and comment
on ringtones. Additionally, fans can send an email directly from the site telling their friends about a
particular ringtone or they can generate a MyxerTag to promote the ringtone from their own website or MySpace
page. There is also an option to add a link to a favorite ringtone directly to a del.icio.us account.
Hundreds-of-thousands of ringtones have been downloaded to date.
