Advanced Learning Hands-on experience is a hallmark of a Niagara education. The Ridge Report, a university news program that is 100 percent student created and produced is just one example of these hands-on experiences. Niagara students have access to the latest equipment and technologies, such as state-of-the-art TV production studios, model pre-K thru 12 classrooms, a high-tech financial services lab and more.
Undergraduate Research Niagara students work side by side with their professors on a variety of collaborative research projects. Research, such as the genetic exploration and tracking of the local salamander population, is an excellent way for undergraduate students to gain practical, high-level research experience, further setting them apart as they prepare to enter graduate schools and careers.

Niagara Purple Eagles Athletics
The Niagara University Purple Eagles field eight men's and 10 women's intercollegiate teams that compete at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and Atlantic Hockey Association. Ours is a proud tradition - and a winning one. Since 2002, Niagara teams have appeared in 11 NCAA tournaments, won 13 conference championships and earned seven regular-season titles.

More than 300 students are members of the N-Zone, the best student spirit section in the country. Dedicated to cheering on our Purple Eagles, all Niagara undergraduate students are invited to join the sea of purple!
The N-Zone cheers on the Purple Eagles at men's basketball games in the Gallagher Center and at men's hockey games within the icy confines of Dwyer Arena. In addition, N-Zone members are encouraged to attend other marquee Purple Eagle sporting events for both the men's and women's teams.
